Healing thermal water

Natural healing resources means naturally emerging water, mud, gas  or climate conditions suitable for use for prophylaxis and  prevention. Natural healing treatment is called balneotherapy.

The natural healing springs at SPA  Aphrodite  are its very essence. Their unprecedented  variety and heterogeneity under one roof predetermine their complex effect  on your body, their healing effect, recovery of health and harmony.

The natural healing springs comply with the following:

  • their chemical composition and physical properties have been scientifically proven to benefit human health,
  • they can cure in their natural conditions or if treated without negative impact on their healing potential,
  • they have beneficial effects on the human body,
  • they are not harmful

Natural healing water:

Thermal water found in Rajec is considered natural healing hypotonic water with a medium content of minerals , bicarbonate, calcium and magnesium. Its temperature is 38 °C. Its healing effects cure musculoskeletal disorders,  inflammations in the central nervous system, degenerative disorders of nerves and muscles and occupational diseases  affecting bones, joints, muscles and tendons. The discovery of the healing effects of Rajec water in the 14th Century  comes as no surprise. Nowadays, clients can benefit from a series of healing procedures - hydrotherapy, balneotherapy, water massage, whirlpool bath, thermal bath or carbon  bath. The water is potable.

Application of potable water:

A unique spring named after Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty and youth. Spa Aphrodite Rajecké Teplice serves medium-mineral content water, inspired by the tradition dating back to the 19th Century. Alkaline water with pH of 7.44 has a pleasant taste, and no odour. The ideal 2:1 ratio of calcium and magnesium and very low sodium content makes it suitable for regular potable family treatment. The water is  naturally filtered through dolomite rock rich in minerals.

The recommended daily healing dose is 1.5 l of water – ON AN EMPTY STOMACH in the morning, at lunch and in the evening before meals.

History: The drinking of the healing water of Rajecké Teplice dates back to the 19th Century.  1895 saw the publication of medical reports about the “surprising results of drinking healing water  to relieve chronic kidney diseases and stomach problems.”

3 zlaté pravidlá pitnej kúry

  1. Pre zachovanie kvality vody, ju doporučujeme piť z kúpeľného porcelánu alebo skla.
  2. Pitnú kúru absolvujte v duševnej pohode, pomalými dúškami.
  3. Súčasťou pitnej kúry je i telesný pohyb, doporučujeme preto užívať vodu pri pomalej chôdzi.

Climate conditions which suit the healing process:

The Rajec River valley,  isolated from heavily used traffic routes, abounds in flora and  includes several smaller protected areas and wildlife centres, home to unique flora.
The valley has a mild, soothing climate without suffocating heat in summer. Yet it gets  sufficient sunlight and still air. The exceptionally clean air with a minimum concentration  of exhaust fumes and minimal dust is extraordinary, as may be observed by the healthy forests surrounding the spa. The nature and air also support the treatment of respiratory tract and related diseases. The climate encourages regenerative processes in healthy individuals. This makes Spa Rajecké Teplice ideal for a recovery and recuperation holiday.
